We find ourselves perched on the precipice of a global shift. It is of a magnitude the world has not experienced in almost a hundred years, possibly ever.
Technology has overtaken our lives, overpopulation, deforestation, dwindling resources, greed, war, narcissism, apathy, and groups of people bent on destroying our world and peace. This rages all over our planet.
We have become a people lost, confused, sad, hopeless, and full of rage.
All over the world people have lost their faith in their political, and religious leaders, and with good reason. Those who have clung to their Christian, Jewish, Islamic beliefs do so with the continued thought that their god is the only god, the true god, and even though they believe in the same one god of the desert - once called El, Baal's brother and a pagan god of the ancient Canaanites, they have continued to murder and make war on one another over ideologies since their religions began. In fact the Christians and Muslims even murder those within their own religions over various interpretations. They forget their religious traditions come from ancient pagan roots. So what happened to our great goddess? It's simple, men in power because of a war and loss of faith in their gods chose to be manipulated. Those that stood in the way of their priests' lust for power were murdered. Convert or die was their mantra. To make the conversion more palpable to the new "state sanctioned" Christians, the new church integrated pagan practices and twisted them, they even changed their lord and saviors' birthdate to coincide with the rebirth of the Sun God Saturn at the winter equinox, and turned our fertility festivals at spring equinox into his so called resurrection holiday. Their priests then took their holy writings(not written by Jesus but by hearsay and his apostles), picked out the ones to best fit their narrative and to control the masses, and it became the bible. After that it was as all blood, torture, and murder, convert or die remember, was their mantra.
Polytheism and goddess worship was slow to burn out, especially goddess worship. So slow in fact the new church had to elevate their saviours' mother to a higher status of reverence and respect. More so than her own son, the said "saviour" EVER showed her in the bible. They had created the blessed virgin Mother Mary (who was no virgin btw) to replace our beloved All-Mother/Goddesses. Even the Goddess Bridgid became a saint to appease the Irish. (she has since been decannonized for this very reason, but the Irish haven't gotten the memo)
Wise women, followers of the old ways and goddess were now labeled "witches", and servants of their gods' enemy - Satan.
And so it went on. Though unbeknownst to the Christians there were some that still worshipped the gods and goddesses in secret, just as their ancestors had. These practices survived somewhat, and were reimagined with a resurgence of interest from the late 1800's until it became envogue in the 1970's. Thanks, primarily to those who practiced Wicca in the town of Salem, Massachusetts, and the birth of neopaganism, as well as new kinds of witchcraft, and a surging interest in cultural religions happening globally.
Today in the 2000's, Pagans, Heathens, Witches, and new age philosophy are pretty common, as is the popularity of Asian philosophy and shamanistic practices. It's no wonder, given so many people have been failed by the big three patriarchal based religions, who spew bigotry, hate, and intolerance. All the while committing the sins they preach against, and twisting their teachings to suit their own moral belief narratives.
Why they cling to the religions they corrupt I don't know, nor understand. I only know and understand THIS : The Great Goddess, The All-Mother is ready to reclaim her rightful place amongst those who have usurped her!
SHE, is the answer for those seeking faith in something other than the tyrannical religions who seek only to spread hate, fear, and war. The All-Mother would never betray her children, judge her children, play games with their lives, take their last penny, and she would especially not murder unbelievers, or make war with those of differing beliefs.
The All-Mother is kindness, understanding, and mercy. She does not hate unbelievers, or those of any one race, nation, or sex . She is the ALL-MOTHER OF ALL PEOPLES!
